We are a small group of Cocker and English Springer Spaniel enthusiasts, based in Stoke-on-Trent. We aim to find new “forever” homes for dogs placed in our care. We have found homes for over 800 dogs We care for and re-home as many un-wanted, stray or neglected Spaniels as we can

Story

Losing a dog can be an incredibly painful experience, as they are often considered beloved family members. It's important to acknowledge your grief and find ways to cope with the loss.

We lost our Leo an English Springer Spaniel last month unexpectedly. Leo, also known as Leo the Lion was a rescue dog as his previous owners no longer wanted/needed him.

We adopted him from CAESSR which is Cocker and English Springer Spaniel Rescue who aim to care for and re-home as many un-wanted, stray or neglected Spaniels. Spaniels are surrendered for a variety of reasons such as the "present" is too much trouble,a new baby arriving, they are too old to work, they have a behavioural problem, or their owners move house or emigrate or even a new puppy arrives (so the oldie has to go!).

Whatever the reason CAESSR is there to help care for and rehome Cocker and English Springer Spaniels. We not only adopted Leo from them but also our Polly a Lemon Roan Spaniel. To deal with their loss we are doing a sponsored walk in their memory. All donations however small will go to CAESSR directly to help them continue their work.
