Story
For those that don’t know, I have a degenerative eye condition that heavily impacts my sight. Growing up I never thought sports or fitness were for me. I would hide away inside embarrassed of being partially sighted. The gym was genuinely life changing for me. I started training just after I was diagnosed (when I was 13), and my passion for training has only grown since. It gave me a healthy outlet I could focus on when everything else seemed to crumble. It has continually helped me with social anxiety, and has given me the chance to meet some of my closest friends!
Earlier the is year I set two Gods of Grip World records, and I’m excited to say that I’m partnering with them for this event! I will be attempting to surpass the existing record on the Ring Hub at the top of Snowdon! I will be carrying the implement, along with the necessary 10kg-12kg to the top with me. Once I’m at the summit I will attempt the record. There is currently no evidence of anyone doing a grip feat at the top of a mountain, so it would be “the world’s most elevated grip feat”.
I will be donating to the YMCA Plymouth! The YMCA provides invaluable services for young, and disadvantaged people. Providing education, fitness classes and a friendly community for those who struggle accessing them.
