Andy Hibbert Pushing a Wheelbarrow 21 Miles

Jonathan Ratcliffe is raising money for Down Syndrome Training and Support Service Ltd

Gargrave to Bingley Sponsored Canal Pub Walk · 21 March 2026 ·

Last year we held a wonderful campaign and raised just over £100,000 through your efforts - sponsored walks, runs, hair cuts, raffles, our Chromosome Rocks event.... The funds ensured we are secure for all of 2026. We need to raise £60,000 for 2027.

Story

Andy Hibbert is pushing a wheelbarrow 21 miles on World Down Syndrome Day (Sat 21st March)

Starting somewhere near Skipton, through Ilkley and Otley and ending at Menston Malt Shovel Pub after lunchtime, the wheelbarrow will contain 21kg of weight to represent Leo Ratcliffe of Menston.

Andy hopes to finish this crazy challenge with plenty of drinking time left. We will post photos of the end. Please give generously for this amazing charity (Down Syndrome Training and Support Service) which helps children and young adults and their families with Down Syndrome.
