Story
We, Leon Gibbs and Chris Munday, are walking 43 miles through Portugal, so no one fights mental health battles alone.
We’re two ordinary lads from Northamptonshire trekking from Vermelha to Fátima along the ancient pilgrimage route. We’ll battle scorching heat, punishing hills and mountains, and total exhaustion, choosing every hard step on purpose.
Why? Because every mile we suffer is for Northamptonshire Mind, the local charity giving counselling, crisis support and hope to people facing anxiety, depression and every silent struggle.
We aren’t superheroes. We’re colleagues, mates and everyday blokes who believe that if we can keep putting one foot in front of the other through pain and doubt, then anyone can find the strength to ask for help or keep going one more day.
Your donation, whether £5, £20 or £100, will help Northamptonshire Mind keep answering phones, opening doors and reminding people: you matter, your story matters, help is here.
Sponsor us. Share this. Send your support.
Because when we finally reach Fátima, we’ll know we didn’t walk alone – and neither will the lives your kindness touches.
Every step counts. Every pound heals.
Thank you ❤️
