Why I’m Running the London Marathon 2026 for Whizz-Kidz

In 2026, I’ll be lacing up my trainers and running the London Marathon—something I never imagined I’d do. As someone new to running, this is going to be one of the biggest physical and mental challenges of my life.

But I’m not just doing this for the personal achievement. I’m running for Whizz-Kidz, a charity that transforms the lives of young disabled people, giving them the mobility, independence, and confidence they need to thrive.

As someone who works for the Motability Foundation , I see firsthand how having a disability can make everyday life so much harder, I also see the power of the right support—how it can open doors, create opportunities, and change lives. That’s exactly what Whizz-Kidz does, and I’m incredibly proud to help shine a light on their amazing work.

Training for a marathon is going to be really tough—especially while juggling a full-time job, being a husband and father to five incredible yet messy daughters. Life is busy, loud and demanding but i tell myself its wonderfully chaotic. But every mile I run is driven by a bigger purpose and passion.

I’m doing this to make a difference, to show my daughters the value of determination and giving back, and to support an incredible cause that gives young disabled people the tools and opportunities they deserve.

I know life is tough right now. The cost of living is high, and we’re all feeling it. That’s why I’m not asking for much—JUST £1.

I know it’s a BIG ask but if 2,000 people could spare even that small amount, I’d reach my fundraising goal and help Whizz-Kidz continue their incredible work.

One pound. One small act. One big impact.

Please support me if you can—every donation, cheer, and word of encouragement means the world.
