Set myself a personal challenge of a full marathon, whilst also hoping to raise money for The CJD Support Network UK.

My girlfriends Mum, Val, was sadly diagnosed with sCJD and lost her battle with this evil and cruel disease just a few short weeks after diagnosis, in October 2021.

A one in a million type disease. Its so rare, with no cure and very little awareness. Its brutal and robs you of your loved one so quickly and cruelly.

The CJD Support Network UK give support to sufferers of this disease but also offer help to the loved ones, who are very often shell shocked by the diagnosis and at the speed they are taken from them.
