Story

In 2020 just before the first lockdown my amazing, loving, caring grandmother was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Sadly due to the pandemic we were not able to do all of the things she loved before she sadly died in 2022. She was such a special woman and I feel so lucky to have spent as many years as I did with her. Cancer affects so many individuals and their families. I think it’s so so important that more research is done on the disease so we can prevent cancer related deaths and catch it earlier.

I am running the Edinburgh half marathon in memory of my grandmother and to prevent others from dying from cancer. MacMillan is an amazing charity and is very close to my heart and it has helped save so many lives - it would mean a lot to me if you could donate a little bit to this fantastic charity! A little goes a long way!
