This Lent, I'm raising money in aid of ShelterBox who provide tents and other shelter essentials to families who have lost their home to disaster.

In Türkiye they are supplying emergency tents and other essential items like blankets, mattresses, stoves and lighting.

In Syria they're supplying tents, high thermal blankets, mattresses, solar lights, water carriers and winter coats for children - as you can see in the photo below.

Much as I don't want to go outside and sleep in a tent in the garden tonight, the following morning I'll be back in a comfortable home. This will never be the case for many whose homes and lives have been destroyed.
