For anyone who knows me or has followed The Ceili House Band, you’ll know how much it means to us to support this wonderful cause.

Many of you will remember Patrick Darling, who was a much-loved member of the band for 10 years, performing at countless venues and events across the Bristol area. Sadly, at just 30 years old, Patrick was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND).

As the disease progressed, it gradually became impossible for Patrick to play his instruments or sing with the band. As you can imagine, this was heartbreaking for Patrick, his family, his friends, and all of us in the band.

This year, thanks to incredible new AI technology, Patrick has been able to perform once again with us using his new AI singing voice. It’s been an emotional and uplifting experience, and we’re so proud to have him back where he belongs.

To celebrate this special moment and, more importantly, to raise awareness and vital funds for the MND Association, The Ceili House Band and Patrick’s family are organising a fun-filled evening aboard The MV Balmoral in Bristol, featuring a live performance from the band with our very special guest, Patrick.
