My lovely daughter Lauren passed away on the 12th January 2025, aged 37, after a short heroic battle with a rare cancer.

Friends of Roxburghe House - This hospice gave Lauren excellent care in her last few weeks.

Cancer Research UK - as her cancer was a very rare cancer.

Children with Cancer UK - as she thought it was dreadful for children should suffer with cancer.

NHS Grampian Charity - we were able to specify Ward 309 in Aberdeen Royal Infirmary where Lauren was for most of her treatment & care, apart from the later weeks in Roxburghe House. She thought all the staff were outstanding.

I have never walked 18 miles before and I have never worn a kilt, so it is definitely going to be a challenge !
