Chillswim: Coniston 2025 · 21 June 2025 · Start fundraising for this event

The Joshua Tree support and improve the emotional well-being and mental health of all family members affected by childhood cancer, in the North-West of England and North Wales. We offer support during and post treatment. All our support services are free to the families.

Story

On behalf of our Captain, Tom Peters, at our golf club, Pryors Hayes, I will be attempting to swim the length of Coniston in the Lake District on 21st June 25 (5.25 miles end to end) to support his chosen charity, The Joshua Tree, a charity based very locally to me in Sandiway, Cheshire.

The Joshua Tree is a Cheshire based Children's Cancer Charity. Operating across the North West and North Wales they are dedicated to working closely with families affected by childhood cancers. They tailor the services to suit the family’s specific needs, by means of emotional, academic and practical support, such as counselling, art and play therapy, health and well-being advice, support in and around the home and educational tutoring where required to help ensure that life remains as normal as possible during an incredibly traumatic time.

Warning - This is a first for me, I am a proficient pool swimmer but am a novice in open water. I will do my very best to go the distance 💪🏻.

Thank you for visiting my page and reading my story and thanks in advance for your support.
