For most of you life is such a tough game to play and everyday activities can become such a pain, but hey you just get on with it and the next day rolls on to more of the same. What if the next day wasn’t the same ?

This year has been a difficult one for me personally and every day I count my blessings that I still have my health and mind. I'm sure some of you would question the mind bit.

I am the youngest of seven children in my family and I lost my dad at the Age of 16 yrs through cancer, he was 52yrs. Every year since that day I've had it in the back of my mind will I be lucky enough to make it to 52.

3 of my 4 brothers have unfortunately been diagnosed with Prostate Cancer over the last 12 months and it just brings it home that we should get checked out regularly. Make sure you do the physical examination (Julian will like that) and the blood test. Men’s Health is key fellas, because all those little ladies at home need us along with everyone else’s heart you have touched in your lifetime. Its largely preventable if caught early enough.

So I would like to personally promote Movember this year and with the growing number of men totalling 10.8 million globally facing life with prostate or testicular cancer diagnosis, I would love for you all to support this tremendous cause through Short Construction's Just Giving Page but more importantly get yourself checked if you have not done so already.

Movember is a unique way of doing this and above all it shows we care not just for our teams but for all.
