Lesley's Tube Challenge for the Pelvic Radiation Disease Association

Travelling across London to spell PELVICRADIATIONDISEASE · 27 March 2025
It's been a while since I did something a bit bonkers to raise much-needed funds for the Pelvic Radiation Disease Association, and it's also my 60th birthday year, my 15th year cancer-free and I've got through 35 years of married bliss!
So to mark this auspicious moment in my life, I've made the entirely rational decision to travel all around London, visiting tube/train/bus stops whose first initials spell out P.E.L.V.I.C.R.A.D.I.A.T.I.O.N.D.I.S.E.A.S.E. This will not be as easy as it sounds! And I have to do it all in the same day - I think it will take around 16 hours? And add in some fancy dress to boot...
So here I come: Putney Bridge - Earls Court - Ladbroke Grove - Victoria - Ickenham - Chorleywood - Rickmansworth - Acton Town - Dagenham East - Ilford - Alexandra Palace - Tottenham Hale - Islington - Oxford Circus - New Cross - Deptford Bridge - Island Gardens - Stratford - Euston - Angel - Southwark - Earlsfield.
The Pelvic Radiation Disease Association is a wonderful charity that does so much to support people and to advance the cause of better quality of life for those living with long term side effects of their cancer treatment. It can do even more with more funds, so that's where you come in.
Maybe you were thinking of a birthday gift, or maybe you're just a fantastically generous person, either way, it's very simple, fast and secure to donate through JustGiving.
