Story
For those people who know me I lost my mum in August. I found this difficult to deal with so my husband David set me a target to run a half marathon for the Alzheimer’s Society. Mum suffered with vascular dementia along with other illnesses. Not only was it hard for her to deal with it also had a massive effect on our family. As always mum was fantastic and handled it like a trooper. I will always be thankful for the time I had with mum and grateful that at the time of her death she knew she was a wife to my dad of 59 years a mum to what she would say ‘her three beautiful girls’, Nana to five grandsons and great-nana and special auntie. I will love mum forever and a day and will always make her proud 💕💕
We have only set a small target but would be grateful for any contributions made x
Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever.
Until the day we find a cure, we will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.
