A Mountain to Climb

MQ Mental Health Research is a charity formed to support research into mental illness. By funding research, we will be able to understand mental illness, improve current treatments, identify new ones and transform the lives of those affected: over 15 million in the UK. Better is possible.

Story

This summer I will be walking more than 100 miles from my home, near Glasgow, to the top of Ben Nevis (and down again!) to raise money for MQ and its essential research.

Right now, one in four people in the UK are living with mental illness. MQ, the mental health research charity, transforms lives through research, helping to create a future where mental illnesses are understood, effectively treated and one day prevented. MQ's scientists investigate illnesses like depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, eating disorders and more. They bring together everything from cutting-edge neuroscience to social studies to find the answers we need. Better is possible.

Please support me, on my trek, and those who face much bigger challenges - those who have suffered, are suffering or may suffer mental illness - by making a donation, large or small. Together we can make a difference. Thank you.
