At Capability Scotland, we believe that every disabled person deserves the opportunity to thrive and reach their full potential. Our dedicated team works tirelessly to provide essential services, from toddler groups and educational support in schools and colleges to engaging day services filled with fun activities and learning experiences. We also offer vital support at home, respite for carers, and exemplary residential services that truly change lives.

On Saturday the 15th of March I will be taking on the Hyrox event in Glasgow. Hyrox is eight workout stations to be completed in order; 1000m ski machine, 152kg sled push, 103kg sled pull, 80m burpee broad jumps, 1000m rowing machine, 24kg kettlebell farmers carry, 20kg lunges for 100m and finally 100 wall balls. Oh, I almost forgot, I have to run 1km before each exercise!

I've lived my whole life with a disability and as I prepare for this upcoming challenge, I am reminded of the incredible support I have had throughout my life. From family to friends and work colleagues to fellow gym members (shout out to the Engine Room in Falkirk!) I have been given every opportunity to reach my full potential. Others are not so lucky though and with a target of £600, every contribution helps create limitless possibilities for those who need additional support.
