Story
We are a small team of cyclists who have loved ones currently living with the early symptoms of dementia following an Alzheimer's diagnosis.
Alzheimer’s disease is a physical illness which damages the brain and is the most common cause of dementia. Common symptoms include memory loss, thinking and reasoning difficulties, language problems, changes in mood and changes in how a person sees and hears things.
We are cycling over 1,000 miles in September, to raise money for Alzheimer's Society, who have been at the forefront of raising the awareness of the disease at a national level, by increasing the speed of early diagnosis, intervention and support and spearheading research to finding life-changing scientific breakthroughs.
The money that you have donated will help fund phone and online support and help in the communities for families affected by dementia.
