A group of our volunteers are walking in the Guildford Rotary Sponsored Walk to raise money for our charity. Joining the group will be Frodo the dog and our charity executive's 3 year old daughter.

We are a Woking based charity, supporting schools to improve literacy levels across the local community. We achieve this in 2 ways:

1. Weekly, we visit four schools and tutor children 1:1 to improve their reading and comprehension skills.

2. At the end of each term, we visit 11 schools and give each child in Year 2 (a new book to keep. This is approximately 480 children we support, totalling around 1440 books donated each academic year.

In order to keep supporting the local children, we need to raise money to fund the books we provide. We also need to replace some of our tutoring materials to ensure we are providing meaningful sessions with up-to-date and relevant content.
