London Marathon 2025 · 27 April 2025 ·

We aim to never turn away a dog or cat in need of help, caring for them until their owners or loving new homes can be found, no matter how long it takes. We are champions for, and supporters of, vulnerable dogs and cats, determined to create lasting changes for animals in our society.

Story

Battersea will always be here for every dog and cat.

Battersea takes dogs and cats in, gives them the expert care they need and finds them new homes that are just right for them.

They help pet owners make informed choices, provide training advice, and campaign for changes in the law.

And they help other rescue centres and charities at home and abroad because they want to be here for every dog and cat, wherever they are, for as long as they need Battersea.

My story:

After many personal challenges, it took a toll on my health leading to physical but more-so mental health struggles.. having the goal of the London Landmarks Half Marathon a year ago, kicked me into gear (alongside my Slimming World group with Glenis), starting with the Couch to 5km program... I got a place for the LLHM through Battersea then and although I got injured, I ran/walked to the finish. Disappointed with this, I signed up to the Manchester Half Marathon and RAN the entire event last October. Now, I'm 37 days out from the London MARATHON, where I'm running half marathon's as TRAINING runs!!

I was fortunate enough to get in via ballot - but with animals being close to my heart and being an advocate for #adoptdontshop, and people asking if they can support through donation, I want to fundraise for Battersea <3

And any words of encouragement are appreciated as I'm still in disbelief I'm doing this!

Much love and many thanks!
