Hi Everyone,
This October, I will be taking on the exciting challenge of running my first half-marathon! I decided this yesterday, when someone asked me if I'd like to run the half-marathon this year, and I said...yes!
There will always be times when you say, "sounds great, but I'll do it another time,' or "I don't have enough time to train.' Well, this is your reminder to bite the proverbial bullet, and as Nike say, just DO it. There will never be the perfectly right time to do something, and life will keep moving, so if I can train for a half-marathon, perhaps you could dust off a project you would like to start!
Having studied Psychology, I know the impact of mental health conditions experienced by many, daily. The biology, the statistics and the patterns of behaviour. But what truly matters is how the person feels on a day-to-day basis.
Today, half of adults with mental health problems first experience symptoms by the age of 14. However, historically, they have not received the help necessary to aid emotional regulation that provides children and young people with the tools they need in later life to promote good mental health.
That's why I am supporting Place2be. They believe every child should have easy access to mental health support. Whenever they need it. By supporting Place2Be in partnership with the Royal Parks Half Marathon 2026, together we can ensure that more children and young people get the support they need before it's too late.
If you are able to donate, you will be supporting the mental health of generations to come.
Thank you very much for your support; every penny counts, and I truly appreciate your donation! It really will make a life-changing difference to young people.
