I've played at running for about 5 years now, with the first couple years being pretty busy what with races and racked up some good training mileage. Then I fell off the wagon and pretty much stopped running for 18 months putting myself way back in fitness and confidence of my ability to cover distance. So what better way to get myself going again, book one of Britain's toughest trail marathons and tow the line.

This will be my first full marathon distance race, so although it's a personal test for myself I thought why not use it to give back the the little guys. Udny station preschool and play group do a brilliant job for the village and surrounding areas little ones so a wee boost in funding always goes a long way and would be much appreciated I'm sure.
