Felix Fund - The Bomb Disposal Charity · 5 July 2025

Felix Fund supports bomb disposal and search personnel and their families. We provide welfare assistance and financial support for anyone who has conducted or assisted with bomb disposal duties; across all three services and the Met Police Counter Terror Unit SO15.

Story

Four dedicated service personnel from 33 & 35 Engineer Regiment (EOD&S) based in Carver Barracks, Wimbish, will be participating in The Holdfast Felix Fund Challenge. Our team will compete against UK and international EOD units, not only to win the trophy but also to raise vital funds for the Felix Fund.

The Holdfast Felix Fund Challenge is not just a fun event; it's a test of endurance, teamwork, and resilience. Our four personnel will form a team from Wimbish Station (33 and 35), tackling a series of demanding activities, including:

Water Activities: Navigating through various water-based challenges.

Obstacle Courses: Overcoming physical barriers that test agility and strength.

Circuit Training: Completing intense circuit training exercises.

Bodyweight Exercises: Pushing physical limits with bodyweight workouts.

Endurance Runs: Long-distance running to test stamina.

Team Challenges: Collaborative tasks that require teamwork and strategic thinking.

The challenge lasts approximately 3 hours and is designed to push participants to their limits, both physically and mentally. It's a tough but rewarding experience that showcases the strength and determination of our EOD community.

The Felix Fund is a lifeline for bomb disposal and search personnel, providing essential support to those who risk their lives to keep us safe. This incredible charity offers a range of services, including:

Therapeutic Breaks: Giving soldiers and their families a chance to recover and reconnect after the intense pressures of their roles.

Financial Assistance: Helping those in need with grants for essential items and emergency situations.

Mental Health Support: Providing access to counseling and therapy to help manage the unique stresses and traumas faced by EOD personnel.

Wellbeing Programs: Offering workshops and activities designed to promote physical and mental health.

By supporting our team, you are directly contributing to the wellbeing of these brave individuals and their families. Your donation will help ensure they receive the care and support they deserve.

Join us in making a difference. Every contribution, no matter how small, brings us one step closer to our goal and shows our heroes that their sacrifices are valued and appreciated.

Thank you for your generosity and support!
