Story
On Sunday 9th November, I am partaking in my first Half Marathon event at Tatton Park. By doing so, I’m also taking the opportunity to raise as much money as I can towards a charity very close to my family’s heart: The Ellie Hunter Foundation.
Ellie sadly passed away on the 28th September 2024, less than a year after being diagnosed with a rare and aggressive cancer. Ellie was a very special person who touched the hearts of so many around her and is truly missed by her family, friends and colleagues. Ellie was a particularly special friend to my mum and I saw first hand the effect Ellie’s passing had on her, so I felt it only right to run in memory of Ellie this weekend.
The aim of Ellie’s foundation is to carry out charitable work for local causes that were close to Ellie’s heart; the first being a Sensory Garden installation at a local SEN school. It would mean the absolute world to me, and of course to Ellie’s closest friends and family, her husband Jamie and daughters Gracie and Annabel, to try and raise any additional funds towards this project. Thank you in advance.
