100 Miles of Mountain Biking Madness for CMT Kids!

SM Stewart is raising money for Charcot-Marie-Tooth UK

100 Miles of the Dalby Forest 'Full Red Trail'

Charcot-Marie-Tooth UK (formerly CMT United Kingdom) is the national support group for people affected by Charcot-Marie-Tooth Disease, aka Hereditary Motor and Sensory Neuropathy. We provide advice, support and information for people with the condition, family, carers and medical professionals.

Story

The Challenge

Lewis (16yo) & Bass (too old to be doing this sort of thing) are taking on an incredible challenge this August - to collectively conquer over 100 miles of the demanding 'Full Red Trail' mountain bike route at Dalby Forest in North Yorkshire. That's four grueling 22.6 mile rides in just one week!

The Cause

We're riding to raise vital funds for CMT UK, with all donations specifically ring-fenced for 'CMT Kids'.

Charcot Marie Tooth disease (CMT) is a group of inherited conditions affecting the peripheral nerves.

One of its most challenging symptoms is extreme fatigue - which makes this challenge particularly meaningful.

While Bass is committed to completing all four rides, Lewis will be pushing through his own CMT-related fatigue to tackle as many miles as possible throughout the week.

The Dates

We'll be doing four laps, on four days in eatly August - get in touch with Bass, directly, if you'd like to come along.

How You Can Help

Your donations will directly support children living with CMT, funding specialized equipment, youth events, and resources that make a real difference to these young people's lives.

Join Us!

We'd be thrilled to have you sponsor our challenge - but we'd be even more excited if you'd like to join us on the trail! (Only if you know what you're letting yourself in for, of course! The Red Trail is challenging terrain with technical sections.)

Whether you support us from afar or pedal alongside us, every contribution helps children living with CMT. Let's make each mile count!
