A few years ago we lost my friend and colleague Vicky to breast cancer.

Vicky was a fantastic person, she was funny, kind, supportive and always had time to help her friends.

I’m running the Leeds Marathon on May 10th 2026 to raise money for Sue Ryder who did an amazing job in supporting Vicky and her partner and young son during her fight.

Sue Ryder is here to make sure everyone approaching the end of their life or living with grief can access the support they need. There is no one size fits all when it comes to how we cope and the help we need, but with Sue Ryder's support, no one has to face dying or grief alone. They are there when it matters.
