Story
I’ve always like doing things for charity but never done loads but after taking part in two Play2Give football tournaments and this July shaving my head for the cause and raising some money I have seen the impact of this charity and the immense difference Play2give makes including to children in hospital I want to do more.
I’ve now decided on a new fundraiser for #play2give this is going to be a big step for me as since past injuries my physical condition hasn’t been the best but hopefully with hard work in the gym, good eating and cycling trains I’m hope to be better not just physically but mentally too. I am going to be completing a 107 mile bike ride in the summer of the year, date and route to be decided but it will be from chinnor to Dorset, hoping to raise as much money as I possibly can for this amazing charity. I’m hoping to get support from as many people as possible during not only the event but the training side as well as for me this is not easy.
My friend Andy Baker is The founder of the charity has a brain injury himself and is a huge inspiration to so many and even has an MBE. I help out when I can by volunteering with Andy and I am so proud and pleased to help out such a special cause that does such great work impacting so many
I’m also hoping people can share this as much as possible and if anybody has any advise or help with anything please do as it would be much appreciated.
Before this I went through a rough time, never spoke about anything because I never wanted to put my things on other people’s plate but now a few months down the line after doing certain charity work such as my sponsored brave the shave and having much needed support from people I am now feeling much better within myself and still progressing to this day.
Thank you to anyone who has taken the time to read this. More will be posted about this event further down the line.
