Story
We are thrilled to announce the 2026 annual trainee fundraiser walk and it’s bigger than ever!
This year's theme is 'Representation'. For the first time, we are giving every region its own dedicated local walk, so that colleagues right across the firm can celebrate the environment on their doorstep and take pride in the landscapes, history, and communities that make the place they call home special. The walks will take place every weekend throughout September, giving you the flexibility to choose a date that works for you. Colleagues are welcome to attend as many of the walks as they would like.
All abilities, family, and friends (including dogs!) are welcome.

Belfast & Dublin - North Down Coastal Path - 5 September 2026
Kicking off the months of walks, our colleagues in Belfast and Dublin will walk the beautiful North Down Coastal Path, which extends from Holywood in the west to Orlock, Donaghadee in the east along the southern shore of Belfast Lough. The trail winds through coastline and parkland, passing through Cultra, Crawfordsburn Country Park, and Helen's Bay. With plenty of old landmarks, plants and wildlife amongst the stunning coastal scenery- including the chance to spot some grey seals on their adventures just off the shore. We’ll be beginning our walk at Crawfordsburn Country Park and walking to Bangor before making the return journey. This walk is slightly shorter in nature, around 9km, and should take about 2-3 hours to complete. We’ll have various family-friendly activities along the route and a bite to eat post walk, to allow for children and partners to come along with us and join in the fun! After a disappointing spree of weather last year that meant this walk couldn’t go ahead, we are excited that it’s getting another chance!
Northern Offices - Peak District Walk - 12 September 2026
Colleagues from our northern offices will be tackling a stunning walk in the Peak District. In the middle of our Manchester, and Leeds offices, the Peak District offers some of the finest walking in England — and the route will take full advantage of that. The exact route is TBC but look out for further communications! What is certain is finishing at a local pub for well-earned refreshments.
Cardiff - Coastal Walk to Barry Island - 19 September 2026
Our Cardiff colleagues will enjoy a spectacular walk along the Wales Coast Path, the first path in the world to follow the entire coastline of a country. This historic Welsh coastal path hugs the South Wales shoreline on a point-to-point route to Barry Island, with magnificent views across the Bristol Channel throughout. The terrain is a mixture of paved and unpaved paths, and there will be opportunities to join the route at various points along the way. Highlights include views of Nash Point lighthouse, passing the historic Aberthaw Lime Works, the southernmost point of mainland Wales at Lavernock Point — where Marconi sent the first radio signal across water in 1897 — and, of course, the iconic Barry Island itself. It is a wonderful way to experience the Welsh coastline on your doorstep. 12 miles / 19 kilometres time 4-5 hours approx
London & Oxford - Chilterns 3 Peaks Challenge – 26 September 2026
Our London and Oxford colleagues will be tackling the Chilterns 3 Peaks Challenge, a stunning route through an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Starting in the historic market town of Princes Risborough, the route takes in three iconic peaks: Whiteleaf Hill, Coombe Hill, and Ivinghoe Beacon. Along the way you will pass through ancient natural box forests, quintessential quiet villages, and enjoy far-reaching views across the Aylesbury Vale. With route options of 5, 10, or 18 miles, there is a distance for everyone, from a gentle afternoon amble to a full-day adventure. The route follows sections of the famous Ridgeway, one of Britain's oldest paths, with over 5,000 years of continuous use, so you will quite literally be walking in the footsteps of history. Predicted timing: 5 mile route - 2 hours, 10 mile route - 5 hours, 18 mile route - 7 hours
