To try and raise the target I’ll be taking part in 3 different sporting events. Im completing a 50 mile trail run, 250 mile bike and 11 mile swim. The run first of the three, will be around the Mendip hills in April. The bike, in June leaving from the mendips and finishing at the Lake District within a 24hr period. And finally the swim, end to end across Lake Windermere in August!!

I’ve got extremely close friends who have found great support from this amazing charity -

‘May 2023, our worst fear came to life. Our son was diagnosed with cancer, and our world began to crumble around us. So many questions fill your head. How do we do this? How do we get our son through this? Will he be OK? We are a close family of 4 and had a daughter at home, a mortgage, bills to pay & a business to run. It felt hopeless. Young Lives vs Cancer were there to support us from day one. We were allocated a family room at a nearby CLIC House so that our daughter could come and stay with us whilst our son was receiving specialist treatment in hospital. We would take it in turns to stay in the hospital and send the other home for a better night's rest and time with our daughter. This opportunity allowed us time as a family, and it meant the absolute world to us. A week or so later, we were contacted by a Young Lives social worker, Siobhan, who was on hand to support us with anything, general advice, financial support and even a hug when needed. We have attended events held by Young Lives. They go above and beyond to make your child feel special and make it their mission to bring joy to the lives of children with cancer.
