My fundraiser for ME Association

Lewis Edwards is raising money for ME Association

Two Castles - 10K · 8 June 2025

The ME Association campaigns hard to get ME recognised as a severe neurological illness. Our helpline provides essential information and support to adults and children who have ME/CFS, and to their families and carers. We also fund biomedical research into the physical nature and causes of ME/CFS.

Story

I am taking part in the Two Castle Run this Sunday from Warwick to Kenilworth which is 10k and aiming to run sub 50 minutes.

I am hoping to raise money for the ME Association.

As many of you will know my younger brother Rhys was diagnosed with ME 9 years ago.

ME (Myalgic encephalomyelitis) also known as chronic fatigue syndrome, is a multisystemic disease involving the brain, muscle, immune and neuroendocrine systems. Symptoms include persistent debilitating fatigue, disturbed sleep, cognitive dysfunction, post-exertional malaise (PEM), chronic pain and extreme sensitivity to light and sound.

Research into ME is desperately needed and very poorly under funded. The Association hope that through research an effective treatment can be developed and one day even a cure.

Please support me with whatever little you can to help change lives.

Thank you.
