Story
In memory of Little Lexi
Last year I did my first 50km ultra to raise money towards sending my friend Becky’s then 13 year old daughter (also called Lexi) to New York. Lexi was diagnosed with a rare type of cancer and underwent innumerable treatments over the course of 13 months. Thanks to the generosity of so many people, and the determination of Becky and Lexi, they did make it to New York where they made memories to last forever.
Unfortunately, Lexi passed away on 21st July 2026. My heart is broken for her mum Becky, and for the loss of the most special little girl who lit up every room she went in.
Lexi made friends with another little girl in hospital, who sadly died a few weeks before her. She set up a charity called Jazzy’s Gestures, which aims to provide special days out and experiences for children living with cancer.
I will be doing a 72km ultramarathon on 12th September to raise money for this incredible charity, in memory of our beautiful little Lexi, and her friend Jazzy
