Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am taking on the challenge to climb the world’s largest free standing mountain - Mount Kilimanjaro. Trekking to the rooftop of Africa, as it is commonly called, is a huge dream of mine and to be doing it for a good cause and to make a difference makes this challenge all the more rewarding.
The charity that I will be raising money for is the Meningitis Research Foundation. The money raised will help support this UK charity to find answers, cures and support those who have suffered from this deadly disease. Meningitis is a disease which affects families all around the UK, and in particular spreads amongst university students. The recent events in Kent this year have driven our team to choose this charity in hope that the money raised from our trek can help make a difference and support those in need.
In order to raise this money, I will be running a half marathon. Challenging myself before I even start the trek.
By donating money to this charity you can ensure that at least 50% will go straight to the charity whilst the other 50% will fund the trek - giving money, jobs and support to the guides in Tanzania who make this trek possible.
Every penny and pound counts and with your support we can make a difference and better the lives of many.
