Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Leyland Rotary is supporting local heart charity Heartbeat NWCC by cycling the distance between all the charity's sites. A whopping 75 miles! This will be in relays on an exercise bike at Leyland Leisure Centre, between 10am-3pm on Saturday 14th February 2026.

I chose Heartbeat, as my President’s Charity of the Year, for several reasons: Graham, one of my friends, had a heart transplant 19 years ago when he was only 51, and also because Leyland Rotary has supported Heartbeat previously through our Pitch4Pounds initiative and know the work they do with local people and how they need to raise their own funds to keep this amazing service going.

Each year, Heartbeat has to raise £1m to continue to deliver heart services and support in Preston, Leyland and across Lancashire. The charity is solely funded by its own fundraising activities and generous donations. It does not receive any external funding from the NHS or government.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
