I've known about LGBT Foundation for many years, accessing their training aged 23 around HIV awareness to support my volunteering. Last year, I was lucky enough to be able to join the team. Getting behind the scenes, I've really seen how much this charity is changing lives, saving lives - and spreading queer joy at a time when celebrating being LGBTQ is an act of resistance. I couldn't be prouder to support them - but signing up to run 10k for the first time in over a decade is a big leap for me. A team of over 50 people are coming together to celebrate 50 years of LGBT Foundation being at the heart of the movement for queer liberation, forming a Rainbow Wave in the Great Manchester Run to support affirming and inclusive care for the community.
