Story
In many ways, this story begins when my dad and his family had to leave Myanmar 🇲🇲 because of a military coup and rebuild their lives in London. Their journey inspired my own and today, I work with the Jesuit Refugee Service UK, supporting people who are seeking sanctuary here 🕊️.
Every day, I see how women, men and children who’ve already fled unimaginable danger face new barriers: destitution, rough sleeping, and hunger 💔. But I also see the incredible impact of people’s support — giving others the chance to build a future here 🌱.
That’s why I’m squeezing in marathon training 🏃♂️ between parenting 👶 to take on the London Marathon and raise vital funds for JRS UK's frontline services 💙.
Your sponsorship could make a real difference:
£25 🥫 could provide a month’s worth of food for someone seeking sanctuary
£50 🎒 could go towards a new school uniform for a child in the asylum system
£100 📄 could help provide expert legal advice to resolve an asylum case and begin a new life in safety
These are difficult times for refugees. Thank you for helping build something better 🙏💫
