As this is the last event I will be able to physically participate in, I thought we had better make it a good one!! So I will be completing a marathon distance around Derby velodrome, in a wheelchair, it’s only 170 laps give or take so it should be simple. The only problem is my arms don’t really work, so I might make one lap but I have a great team around me that will get me through the other 169. Before you get your credit card out I need to point out that I will have assistance on my chair. I have awesome hybrid wheels that give me a bit of a boost, so even when I manage to push myself I will be slightly cheating. To be honest I don’t think it’s that big a deal, a minor cheat in 170 laps should be excused seeing as my arms and legs refuse to work.

The extra mile destination is yet to be confirmed, but it will be a biggie
