Story

Running the Great North Run for St Teresa’s Hospice 🏃‍♂️💨

13.1 miles. One incredible cause. One "Day of Care."

On September 13th, I’ll be taking on the legendary Great North Run. While my feet tackle the tarmac from Newcastle to South Shields, my heart will be firmly rooted back in Darlington, raising vital funds for the incredible St Teresa’s Hospice.

Why St Teresa’s?

As a member of the Darlington Operatic Society, I know just how vital this charity is to our local community. St Teresa’s provides free, compassionate, care to those facing life-limiting illnesses, as well as crucial support for their families.

The Big Goal: Funding a "Day of Care"

This run is part of a much bigger campaign. Together with the brilliant people at Darlington Operatic Society, we have set ourselves an ambitious target: to raise £10,000. The cost roughly to run St Teresa's Hospice for just a single day.

Our collective mission is to completely fund a full day of care—ensuring that patients receive the round-the-clock medical attention, emotional support, and comfort they deserve, entirely free of charge. Every single penny I raise on this page goes directly toward hitting that £10,000 milestone.

How You Can Help

The training is tough, the blisters are real, but the cause is worth every single mile. I can handle the running, but I need your help to smash this target.

£10 could help pay for a patient's meals for a day.

£25 could fund a complementary therapy session to relieve stress and pain.

£50 could help fund a home-visit from a community nurse.

Whether you can spare the price of a coffee or a little bit more, every donation brings us closer to securing that Day of Care. If you can't donate, sharing this page with your friends and family means the world, too!

Thank you so much for your support, your generosity, and for cheering me on all the way to the finish line! 🏁❤️
