Every two hours someone in the UK is paralysed by a spinal cord injury. It can happen to anyone at any time and no one is prepared for how it will change their life. Aspire is a national charity that provides practical help, supporting spinal cord injured people from injury to independence.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I'm swimming from Stokes Bay to Ryde Beach on the Isle of Wight on July 20th, about 3 miles, for Aspire.

I only really got into swimming a year ago – my first 5k pool swim was for Cancer Research, training for this Solent crossing.

This will be my first open water swim, just like that pool swim was.

I need to raise £850 for Aspire, but more would be amazing, so any donation helps! :)

Aspire is a national charity that provides practical help to people who have been paralysed by Spinal Cord Injury. A spinal cord injury can happen to anyone at any time, and no one is prepared for how it will change their life. Aspire exists because there is currently no cure.

Approximately 4,400 people sustain a spinal cord injury in the UK each year.
