This November I will participate in Child.org's Ride Africa project, where I'll cycle hundreds of kilometers, cross-country over a five day expedition from Kenya's Amboseli National Park to Mount Kilamanjaro and ending at the Serengeti in Tanzania.

I've wanted to fulfill this promise to lend support to this fine organization and to join friends who have been doing so for many years. I thought I had better do it now before my mind makes promises my body cannot keep!

So, in turn I am seeking your support to raise money for the good people at Child.org for life-saving work in maternal and child health in Kenya, where maternal mortality is nearly twice the global average.

If you could please help me to help them provide essential maternal education, connect families with previously unavailable critical care and foster supportive communities and health structures, I'd be very thankful to you.

This complex problem requires a compassionate solution.
