Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to Mencap.

I am doing a skydive on the 27th of July to raise money and give back to a charity that has helped me so much.

I had worked with Mencap in 2018/19 through my course in the college. They had helped me to get a work placement and I really enjoyed the experience.

When I finished my course I needed help to find work so I decided to go back to Mencap because they had already helped and supported me. I knew I would be in safe hands!

Finding a job is never easy, but finding a job when you have a learning disability can be even harder.

Mencap understood what having a job meant to me and they where able to give me the help and advice I needed.

For a long time, because I had a learning disability, I felt that I was an outsider, and now with with the guidance of Mencap I feel that I am living a life the same as everyone else.

I have a job in Card Factory and I have been there for almost 3 years. I love being part of this team! Mencap still offer support to me, my family and my employer and are always there if we need anything.

With your donation more people can have the same opportunities and help as me.

Thank you for your support.
