Story
In 2018, our lives were shattered when our daughter, Paloma, died during childbirth. Our perfect lives that we had dreamed of for so long, suddenly turned into the darkest of days.
When you're going through difficult times, you reach out for hope; the light when all around there is none. In this moment, it was hearing from others who had been through baby loss, and receiving specialist support that got our family through it. The journey wasn't easy but we did it with help from others.

I'm running the marathon this year to give some of that help back through Vilomah. The charity provides specialist bereavement support to people who have suffered the loss of a baby and, through its memory boxes and outreach work, is often one of the first acts of care families receive after their child dies.
I've never been a runner but I gave it a go during the pandemic. After a few 5k and 10ks, I tried a half-marathon annnnnnd I barely made it around. However, I did manage to raise some money for charity.
And now I'm back, trying to double the longest I've ever run and take on one of the biggest physical and mental tests you can put yourself through.
I'm looking to go a long way in April 2027, but your donations will go even further by helping this charity reach more families, and shed more light on the darkness.
