Story
I’m running the London marathon this year for Alzheimer’s UK.
I’ve signed up to run the London marathon — something I’ve never done before — to raise money for Alzheimer’s UK, a cause that’s really close to our family.
We lost my grandad Fred to Dementia, and now my poor nan is living with it too. She doesn’t recognise us anymore, and anyone who’s been through it will know how hard it is — not just for the person, but for the whole family around them.
That’s why I wanted to do something positive and raise a bit of money to help support the amazing work Alzheimer’s UK do — funding research, supporting families, and helping people through some really tough times.
I’ve never run a marathon before, so this is a massive challenge for me, but knowing it’s for such an important cause will keep me going when the legs start killing and i want to give up!.
If you can spare anything at all, I’d be incredibly grateful. And if not, a share or a bit of encouragement means just as much.
Thanks so much for taking the time to read this :)
