At the start April this year I could barely do 3-5km. I'm aiming to do 23km in the Manchester Half Marathon by October. A combination of inspiration from my uncle, realisation that I'm out of shape and a bad case of comfort zone set my sights on improving my physical fitness.

I looked at what I was doing and realised I should be doing more for my family by looking after myself and keeping healthy. I always like a challenge, even if I fall flat on my face, so entering this race was the lighter for that inner fire.

I wanted to raise funds for Caritas as we've had the pleasure to witness first hand what a massive difference their service makes. The workers, carers and children within create an amazing support system for children which allows those children to flourish and add to other families lives.

They need more support to carry on doing their work to best standard possible. To keep everything moving in the right direction. It's been a blessing experiencing this in our family and I really hope you'll consider supporting them through this fund raiser. The running is just a bonus 😉
