Story
This April, I’m running the Brighton Marathon to raise money for the Motor Neurone Disease Association in honour of Simon, my fiance’s stepfather.
Simon was living with Motor Neurone Disease (MND), a devastating and progressive illness that affects the brain and nerves, and for which there is currently no cure. He sadly lost his battle with MND on 14th January. Seeing the impact this disease had on his life has been incredibly difficult, and it’s a reality no one should have to face.
The Motor Neurone Disease Association provides vital support to people living with MND, funding research, specialist care, and essential services that make a real difference to those affected. I’m taking on this challenge to honour Simon, raise awareness, and help ensure this support continues for others who need it.
This cause means a great deal to me. Any donation, no matter how small, would be hugely appreciated. If you would like to leave a message for Simon, please feel free to do so…
