The Anchorage Association has been set up by the parents and teachers of The Endeavour School (a special school for children with moderate learning difficulties and complex needs), to raise funds in order to enhance the education and wellbeing of our students.

Story

The Anchorage Association is the registered charity supporting The Endeavour Co-operative Academy, a school based in Brentwood that supports children and young people with moderate learning difficulties and complex needs.

The school is in the process of being completely rebuilt due to it being unfit for its purpose. Although they will have a wonderful new building, they need to fundraise for the equipment to help them meet the learners' needs. This is where we come in. We are running to help raise money for sensory spaces within the school. These spaces will help them feel calm when overstimulated, reduce anxiety, and teach them to self-regulate their emotions. This benefits their focus when they return to the classroom and their time at home at the end of the day. They aim to have several spaces throughout the school aimed at different levels of need. They won't be able to do this without our support!

Nellie has attended The Endeavour since 2020, she has flourished since joining, a once timid and shy young girl is becoming a confident and self aware young women, and this is with thanks to her amazing school family. Sending Nell’s to a SEN school was a big and difficult decision and something as a parent I couldn’t comprehend for a long time however in hindsight it was the best decision we could have made and wish we could turn time back to send her here sooner than we did.

Please support her Uncle Liam with donations for this great school as it will not only benefit Nellie but also so many other children. ❤️
