In July 2026, a team of University of California alumni, parents and friends are running the Saucony London 10k to raise funds for UC student scholarships to study abroad here in the United Kingdom! I'll be one of the team, and I will also be accompanied by a couple of other London friends.

This is a fantastic programme and I believe that all students should have the opportunity to experience life in another country. I've been able to meet many of the students over the years, and it's wonderful to hear all that they have experienced and learned.

I didn't get the chance to do a study abroad programme, but I was able to help in a lab at the University of Cambridge for one summer in the middle of my UCSD studies. It opened my eyes to the world outside of California and was the start of my love of travel and eventual move abroad.
