🌿 Why I’m fundraising
Innocent people are suffering, and I can’t sit back and do nothing.
Through yoga, a practice rooted in ahimsa (non-harming), satya (truth), and ultimately moksha (liberation for all beings), I’m raising funds for Medical Aid for Palestinians, supporting those living in unimaginable hardship. My hope is simple: to ease suffering and contribute, in some small way, to a more peaceful future for everyone.
Please donate whatever you can afford. 💕
💜 My story
The conflict in the Middle East is complex and painful, and no single person can resolve it. What I do know is that innocent people are suffering, and that suffering should never be ignored.
As a yoga practitioner, I embrace the principles of ahimsa, satya, and moksha: compassion, truth, and liberation for all people, no matter who they are or what they believe. I have people I care about living in Israel, and my choice to raise funds for Medical Aid for Palestinians does not diminish my empathy for them. But the situation in Gaza is beyond devastating, and I cannot sit back and do nothing.
I am angry that people are being forced to live and die in such inhumane conditions. This anger doesn’t take away from my compassion for others who are suffering, but it compels me to stand up and say: this is not acceptable, and I will not look away.
Through this Yoga Marathon, I’ve been given the chance to raise vital funds to support people living in unimaginably difficult conditions. My hope, however naïve it may sound, is for a world where all people can live in peace, and in the meantime, I simply want to do what I can to ease suffering.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my page. I'm so grateful for your support!
