We are raising funds for a Local Charity which helps children with cancer and life limiting illness.

We are walking the West Highland Way which is 96 miles over 7 days, to raise important funds for a local charity, Whiteleys Retreat! This charity helps children and their families at a time when needed most! Based in Ayr, they provide families with vital respite and the opportunity to spend precious time together.

Choosing a charity to fundraise for was not easy, with so many worthy causes to choose from. We wanted to choose one local to us, and looked into Whiteleys.

Having 6 children and 15 grandchildren between us, we can’t imagine how difficult it must be for parents to be told their child has a terminal or life changing illness. Thinking of what these families go through is heartbreaking.

We would like to do our bit, to raise awareness for this amazing charity and all the work they do. So please dig deep and help us raise as much money as possible, to help fund the precious time parents and siblings get to enjoy.

We are covering all our own expenses. Whatever is raised goes directly to Whitley’s Retreat.
