On Saturday the 12th July we will be setting off on the North Downs Ultra 50 Challenge, a 50 kilometre ultramarathon through the many hills and trails of the North Downs. Whilst it would be easy to assume we’re just doing this to increase our pastry/pizza/pint consumption over the coming months (only partially true), we’ve signed up for the race to raise money for Breast Cancer Now. This is a cause that means a lot to both of us , with Amy running for her Auntie Maria who was recently diagnosed with breast cancer, and Libby there to support in honour of her Auntie Fiona who she lost to breast cancer in August 2023. For both of us this marks the longest, hilliest, and no doubt hardest running event we’ll ever do. We’re hoping to raise £750 before the race and all donations are greatly appreciated xx
