Story

Hi! Thanks for visiting my justgiving page!

I’m fundraising for the wonderful QEII school by running my first half marathon in Barns Green on 27th September 2026. QEII is a school for children aged 2-19 with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in Horsham - I have been volunteering here for nearly 3 years and have grown up around the school, as my younger brother is a QEII student. I feel very lucky to be part of the QEII community and to have met the amazing staff and students who always inspire me. I’m raising money to support the purchase of gym and sports equipment for the students to use, which will greatly benefit their physical and mental wellbeing.

I’m training for and running the half marathon as part of my Gold DofE award - I started both running and volunteering at QEII for earlier awards back in 2023, and I’ve absolutely fallen in love with both. I can’t wait to bring everything together by fundraising for this incredible cause which will hopefully bring the same joy that I’ve found in running to the students at QEII by giving them better access to exercise equipment. So, if you are able to donate it really would be appreciated by myself and the students at QEII, even a small amount can make a huge difference.

I’ll be running with my Dad (Pete), who claims to be ‘support crew’ but is also running the whole thing with me, so I think he deserves a mention (thanks dad 😉). If you’re local and around on the day, we’d love it if you come to support! It’s a great event and we’ll appreciate the cheers!!

Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my page. It’s time for me to get my running shoes on and train for a very exciting half marathon!! 😃
