Story
My 100km challenge. This June I am challenging myself to run 100km to raise money for Active Fusion's Every Move Matters campaign.
I am aiming to stay consistent and achieve the 100km distance by the 15th of July. This is for a charity who do a great job at helping children and young people to stay active, improve their wellbeing and build confidence though sport. Any donation would mean a lot and massively support the work they do.
Sport has always been a tool in my life which has helped to shape the person I am today. Physical activity has challenged me, taught me discipline and resilience. As someone who has been heavily involved in sport from a young age I have seen the impact in which physical activity can have on all individuals. I understand how important it is that young people have the opportunity to experience and gain the confidence, resilience and enjoyment which sport helped me to develop.
If you are able to support in any way, it would be massively appreciated. Together we can help more young people experience the opportunities, confidence and benefits which sport can provide.
We know that physical activity plays a powerful role in supporting young people’s:
Physical health
Mental wellbeing
Confidence and resilience
Readiness to learn and engage in school life
However, many children, particularly those in disadvantaged communities, face barriers to accessing positive, active opportunities.
During the campaign period from 15th June to 15th July, we aim to bring schools, families, and communities together to focus on movement, participation, and raising vital funds to support local programmes.
Through this campaign, we aim to:
Encourage more children to move in ways they enjoy
Build positive habits around physical activity
Raise funds to support local community programmes that improve young people’s health, wellbeing, and social connections
Even better, every pound raised will be doubled through match funding up to £10,000, meaning your impact goes even further.
Thank you for all your support!
